ANGLING REPORT - LAKE BERRYESSA - 10/01/21
Alright day 2 on Berryessa this week. Started out the morning running way up to the northeastern corner. Fished shallow flat. Caught nothing. No bait. most shallow weeds were looking to be in pretty bad shape. Ran back down to Gosling Canyon. Started seeing bait but no shad this time. Less surface activity from fish busting compared to two days before. One largemouth on the IMA Suspending Vibe. Nothing to write home about. Fished the Eastern flat with a variety of moving baits. No bites. Backed out too deep main lake points, Big Island. Lot's of bait and bass. Again nothing to write home about. Just a few dinks on the Duh spoon. I think the bite will turn on more and more as the weather cools. For now you just gotta find that bait and the bass will be near by. If your graph isn't loaded with bait and bass you are in the wrong area. The smaller schools are harder to trigger to bite the spoon. I got bit only once off of a smaller school.
